Quail Egg Curry/ Kaada Mutta Curry is best when served with South Indian breakfast items like Appam, Idiyappam, Puttu or Dosa.
Ingredients
1. Quail Eggs/Kaada Mutta - 8 nos
2. Onions - 3 medium sized, finely chopped
3. Tomato - 1 medium sized,finely chopped
4. Green Chilly - 1 medium sized, finely chopped
5. Ginger - 1 small piece,finely chopped
6. Garlic - 2 medium sized cloves, finely chopped
7. Egg masala/Chicken masala - 1 tbsp
8. Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
9. Oil - 2 tbsp
10. Water - 4 cups
11. Salt - As per taste
Method
1. Add water to a saucepan and hard
boil them for about 8-10 mins.
2. When they are cool,remove the shell and keep it aside.
3. Heat oil in a non-stick pan and splatter mustard seeds.
4. Add ingredients from 2 to 5 and stir.
5. When the onions become translucent, add tomato and a pinch of salt.
6. Add egg masala or chicken masala. Stir frequently, so that the spices doesn't get burned.
7. Add 2 cups of water and bring it to boil.
8. Finally, add the eggs. Cook for another 3-4 minutes.
9. Quail Egg Curry/ Kaada Mutta Curry is ready to serve. Enjoy..! :)
Note: You can add Kashmiri chilly powder to add more color. You may use any other eggs instead of Quail eggs.
